“On belay” is the first climbing command used by a climbing team at the base of a cliff. In my 30 years of ministry, I have never been more ready to climb as I am today.

Although we don't have to literally climb a mountain, there are obstacles and challenges we have to overcome in order to climb higher. As pastors, you know the unique set of circumstances and difficulties we face during our climb. How is it that something so exciting can be so exhausting?

Like a good climb up the mountain, our work in the ministry is rewarding and the view is precious. I invite you to spend three days with me and your fellow pastors on the mountain. We’ll learn from each other, share stories, ideas, insights, challenges and more as we spend three ministry-changing days together. We'll place a few anchors and run a few ropes as we climb toward the passionate pursuit of health for our churches, our communities, and ourselves.
